Four days/22 plus writes...am I addicted, am I writing insanely, you be the judge, after all I am only the rebuffed...

Four Days…

In four days I have over twenty-two writes,

Is that a lot, or do I need to make more?

Have I gotten over my quota?

Please let me know the score?

I write so many, I save them on disk,

I save them for the future, not to take the risk…

Doubt I could re-write them, the way they are now,

I find it hard to even remember what I wrote, oh wow,

My memory seems to fade, as I get older, anyhow,

Should I continue in the vein of which I am heading?

Should I keep writing with the speed with which I am sledding?

Or should I take a break, a sabbatical or go on retreat,

Either one or the other will both be that of a treat,

But even then, I write…

I write when forced on the pot, on the toilet paper that’s a lot,

I write when driving, I write when lying in bed,

I write in the shower, I write when I cower,

I can’t stop this constant writing, so even if a break I took,

I would not get a break from writing; maybe it can all go in a book?

This was to be a short one, one that would explain how many,

How many I have written in four short days,

But look at how it has expanded,

So much more than I had expected,

If this is my lot in life, I am happy it is not something more dangerous,

As if I am only writing, the people of the world are safe from my automotive meanderings…

Writing is in your blood and therefore you are the best judge to how it should be doing things. Its not the amount you write but how you write and you write really well. I have seen quite a bit of advancement in your writing in the last little while so I think your on the right track. Just don't push yourself to hard.

I was like you a lot when I first started writing. I wrote when I should be sleeping. All my inspirations came at the most inappropriate times; but then again it also had helped me to grow. I am still like that sometimes, very often I'm kept awake by my own inspirations.

Then whenever I did fall asleep, they came into my dreams.
