Superstition...

We all got our superstitions, but lets look at them in a humorous way...

Superstition…

Ladders,

Seem to be one of my fears,

No, I am not worried,

About walking under it,

More that I may fall off,

Landing on my rear…

Black cats,

Another of the fears I have,

I don’t care if it crosses my path,

As long as it stays far away,

For my allergies are really bad…

Friday the 13th,

My mom was born on this day,

It certainly became a way,

For me to rue that particular day…

Red hair,

Apparently an Irish thing,

Personally I like those with red hair,

Don’t ya’ think its kind just unfair?

Step on crack, break old moms back,

Well that for sure didn’t work,

As I tried and tried,

Can you just imagine it?

A little kid around a crack in the cement,

I did lurk…

Rabbits foot,

Now this one I can identify with,

Hang it on your rearview mirror,

And you won’t see the road very well,

Causing you to have an accident,

With a very rich fellow…

Big money in that one, as long as he is at fault,

So scream out to the world, yes bellow,

That superstition is a crock,

The fear of which is just, well…

      SUPERSTITION…

I had to laugh. My mother was born on Friday the 13th, and my daughter celebrates many of her birthdays on this date. In our family it is considered a lucky number.....hmmmm like you version LOL. Superstition is what created religion. Salt over the back, red sun arising and god help you if you break a mirror. Opps did that a lot as a child. That explains everything! :-)
