March...Coming in as a Lamb,

March, a horrid month for weather, never know what to expect, border of winter and spring...

March…Coming in as a Lamb,

An old saying has it that March comes in like a lion,

And it usually goes out like that of a lamb,

But for this area, this year, it is the opposite,

At least for the month to start,

For temperatures in the 60s, spring like weather,

Has this year brought March in like a lamb,

But not to put the “lamb” before the cart,

What will happen on March 31st?

A snow-storm, a hurricane?

Temperatures below zero, just don’t let it rain…

Weather is a fickle thing,

More so than most women, or as they say,

Not me, I don’t say that, I like to keep my teeth,

So much easier to chew,

When I have to eat my shoe,

That I place in my mouth, attached to my foot…

So, for now, we have spring-like weather,

Let us enjoy them for sure,

No more jackets made of leather,

But don’t let this warmth fool you,

As at night it still gets cold,

So don’t go and get too bold,

Going out with no coat,

Or you may end up in bed with some disease,

Who knows which, maybe that of the…

                    BLOAT!

(Hey, what do you want? It rhymed didn’t it?)

Bascially I was brought up with the thought that if March should come in as a lamb it will leave as a lion. Not always meaning cold weather......It could be high winds, and tornado type weather. Still I know and feel the snow somewhere nearby.
