No matter who you are or where you are from
to the aid of your country you now must come.
Next year we will have the privilage to elect a new
President of the United States.
Often referred to as 'POTUS'.
Whether you like or dislike the way the country is headed...
you will have the opportunity to make your voice be heard.
Please do so.

It is your civic duty.
But before you do...
take a good look at all of the candidates running.
There are some new kids on the block...
who are new to national politics.
That is a good thing.
They have had success in the private sector
and want to add their talent to the public sector...
which was the vision of the founding fathers.
All are over 35 years of age, US citizens
and have been a resident of this country
for over fifteen years...
all that is required to be president.
So... look them over...
make a choice...
assert your voice.|
Come election day...
take notice... vote for POTUS.

More like an article than a poem. There is something distasteful about voting for political dynasties or "bought" career politicians. I agree with Jerry that we should consider fresh meat over the same old same old.
I vote. Unless something drastically changes I know who I will vote for, and it will not be even close to the old guard. Fresh meat. Someone who will say what he means and does what he says.
