In empty tomb hollows
I saw you.
You glanced, then turned.
I knew to follow,
Your grave clothes were fresh,
untattered,
hardly had the earth touched you
Where are we going?
I asked.
You remained silent
through purple worlds,
you wound the spectrum,
chasing down lightning,
overturning glass sands.
I watched in awe.
You knew just where it hurt,
removed my heart,
healed the wounds,
sewed the tears
and kept it
cradled in an eternal gown.
I let you,
knowing it was safe,
sea sky shore locked,
forever safe.
You tore the heavens
and gave us wings.
We never tried them,
they were too troublesome,
but they stayed in our closets
for show and tell
on the anniversary
of the sky show
The man walked on
and I had to see
where he was going.
His chest was beating,
red blue and flesh crowned,
he headed westward.
Masses were huddled
in old subway stations,
tires and garbage strewn,
they called to me,
Where are you going?
I did not know.
But they were too afraid to leave,
so passed the heralding light,
face first into the darkness.
A blue glow guided my path,
who was this Lazarus?
I yelled out,
who are you?
Where are we going?
He stopped and turned,
I am hope,
then walked on
pulsing the air with his finger,
stretching the fabric of space and time.
Electricity filled the air,
my hair stood erect.
My body surged with fire,
my fingers clawed the earth.
Wind whipped my face,
It was always you.
No prison is unbreakable,
no life is too bleak to save.
I staggered up,
and noticed a blue halo
around my body,
and stared at my hands.
I walked back,
stretching the darkness.
There were others...
others more needful
of what he was,
what he is,
what we are to become.
Interesting stroll you took with the man with a silent mission in his thoughts. At least we knew his name. And though the stroll was safe and although you knew his name you turned your back on hope.
