Delicious burritos make me happy.

Poem Artwork

Burritos how I love thee,
Let me count the ways.

Your colors, flavors, textures
Of colloidal white tangy sour cream spread,
Of light brown smashed re-fried beans for smearing,
Of dark brown crumbles of savory soy meat
Sautéed with sweet chopped purple onions in oil,
Of shredded orange cheddar balled on my palate,
Of crisp green lettuce torn to pieces,
Of red salsa mush and tomato squirt,
Of black olives of salty firm chew,
Of bright green guacamole puree,
Of rich verde and cream colored scallions with squish-crunch.

You merge and melt in my warm mouth,
So much gusto of brain’s delight.
I will have thee for leftovers for days
And not get bored of your sensory addiction.

Me too! Two of these delectable delights and I am ready to "tear down that wall" that Humpty Dumpty Trumpy wants to build. This is scrumptiously good!

Your poetic oddball depiction of a burrito made me think about how your poem would be worked into piece of modern art. There's something about describing all the parts that takes on a brush quality, a painting in abstract that would convey the same qualities of enjoyment. Yes, burritos are king, as long as you are careful with the black and ferried beans. Loved how you personified such an unusual choice for a poem.

I love a good burrito.
Let me place my order,
Just as long as I don't have to,
Run for the border.

Anything mexican, except that garbage they serve at Toxic Hell.

YOU have made me hungry! I love burritos also. I shall go to the store right now and get what I need to make my burritos.
