Winter Colds

Got one of those Winter colds

Sore throat and a stuffy nose.

Just seems to linger for days

No fever or cough yet.

Well I'll take it easy

And if it's not better soon

Will see my doctor,

If she has any room.

Hope you feel better soon. Take one teaspoon of honey every day that will help the throat.....use lots of garlic in your food and believe it or not have a few Thai flavored dry soups. I don't know what is in the spices but colds run away after you have them.

Another mother hen, flu shots cannot guarantee that you will not get the flu, every year the strain is different, George.

Since there is no cure for the common cold, seeing the doctor only ends up buying an unnecessary antibiotic that can't beat a virus and spreading your germs around in public.

I suggest keeping as warm as you can, drinking a lot of liquids and vitamin C, and waiting it out. As we get older, it seems like it takes our immune system longer to fight the suckers off.

Get well soon and make sure you get your flu shot,

Ron

Yeah, it's that time of year alright, George. It's worse on us old guys, the fear of pneumonia is in the back of your mind.
