My Crystal Ball

My ceiling can be any color

As I rarely look up.

But always paint the sky,

I look at that each day.

It helps to have a color filled day,

At least for me it does.

I hate to see those dark clouds,

It doesn't motivate me.

For I'm a simple person

Who can read minds.

I know what you are thinking

And I'm right, most of the time.

I can sense a friend when I meet one,

But they are the toughest for me to know.

I guess being a simpleton at times

Can muddy my crystal ball.

I guess it's like truth

That seems so rare to some.

They even ask what it is-

Those people I shun.

Nobody is perfect,

Not that I've come across.

And they would say the same of me,

Gosh isn't life fun.

A humorist once said way back

That he never met a man he didn't like.

No doubt that man's an angel today,

For he was one on earth.

George, those crusty no days when the sky is gray, they challenge me also - it is difficult to put on a happy face and jump into a project when the sun is hiding from us - as for me, oh yes, I am probably a simple kind of guy too - I wish you love and peace my dear friend - Jon Michael

Smiling, we all have the innate ability
to know all sorts of people it is our
own meter... God gave it to us :)

I must say that humorist and I have a
lot in common since there isn't a soul
I have met that I don't like... just
who I am, we are all unique as we all
were created uniquely

Well done George

It's hard sometimes to read people's true thoughts and often we go on appearances without probing deeper. For instance, when a woman gives you a cross look it might been she's attracted to you and not angry. It's good to play life light and easy, but our deep dark thoughts and insecurities make us lose the beam betimes.

So beautiful....if one is simple one gets tagged by many adjectives, so is the wicked world :(
Paint the color of your choice and live happily :)
Nice write...best wishes, neerja

the world is such a loud and noisy enticer
trying to always steal our spiritual fruits
let's continue replenishing cisterns of faith
seeking the ultimate relationship with the Lord
