Woke up this morning

Like I do most days.

Said my morning  prayers

As I usually do.

Asked God to forgive me

And protect this world of ours.

We seem hell bent for a war,

Where many will be killed.

Hatred is the root cause-

Not having enough land the other.

Been at it for many years,

Too many dead in between.

Seems there is no simple answer.

If they give an inch they'll lose five.

One side wants to kill them all,

As their way of revenge.

Talk like that has no solutions,

Nor will it bring peace but more war.

A dot on the map maybe

But millions of people at stake.

God help us as there is no end

That will satisfy one party.

War will continue and spread,

Leaving many of us dead.

Depth and wisdom. It does feel very pre a major war.
George, you participated in the last war, it's your voice and, other men who came through such an ordeal, that the world needs to listen.

Men make war, and use god to their purposes. The fact is, we all have, deep within our brains, a territorial imperative and a selfish gene that says that we are supreme and others are inferior. Therefore, we must guard our territory against them.

It will only be a major catastrophe that kills off much of humankind before we will see the light and stop warring with one another. On the other hand, I'm hopeful we can all throw our gods aside and face one another, man to man, woman to woman, and solve our problems one step at a time, difficult though it may be, like not having more than one child without being forced to do it by some governmental entity.

There are some things in this life that will not change and one of them is mankind's propensity for war...

I agree one hundred percent. I think the whole world is poised for mayhem on a grand scale.
