Clouds
Late afternoon sky floats sheer gauze scarves
over the garden where I take time out,
accompanied by a melodic fountain.
Dusk brings an ocean
white-scattered with old ghosts.
In the morning, they return
as a fresco of gilt-rimmed ships
within blue pavilion sea.
