Just my thoughts about life

 Remember The Little Things

Sometimes it's the little things in life
we remember most of all,
gestures of love taken for granted
are memories most often recalled.
You may not see it now
but soon they'll come a day,
the shoulders you leaned on
then, when others turned away.
Those are the little things
priceless in their measure,
gifts straight from the heart
that become your most valuable treasures.
Material things mean nothing,
every rose eventually fades,
remember the little things
may God's blessings forever
light your way.

Your poem, Kathy, captured it all...
...to be able to laugh...childlike
wonder and play with leaves...run against the wind...
notice the little meadow flower and believe it perfumes
your life...are the little things that make...joyful
...happy existence...free of charge....
Thank you for sharing.

Yes, small measures in good faith are very important every day. I once wrote a poem called, Little Things, but it was nothing like your poem.

I so agree with this. There are things which we can't see and are priceless to the people who own them. Others often judge other people on the surface without knowing what goes on with their lives and what makes them love or what makes them unloved. When people feel they are unhappy then it is time to look back into their own lives and find out what makes them unhappy, and how to go about to solve this unhappiness. Unfortunately...Many would go through lives searching, and searching, often changing mates, or changing friends, and then only failed because they do not know what real happiness is, nor do they know what is valuable to them in terms of happiness. Material things may be worth a lot of money when new, but will eventually lose values through depreciation. Only the love and caring between two people that comes through the test of time and the obstacles is the true value in happiness.
