The Book Of Life
Life is a book that was written
it's author to some unknown,
the pages turned
are lessons learned
leading us eternally home.
They'll be times we slip and fall
it's ok faith gives us strength,
to walk through walls of fire
and conquer anything.
Every line a blessing
each chapter a milestone indeed,
the gift of infinite measure
to those who choose to believe.
Life is a book with no ending
the moment Jesus suffered and died,
at the cross our sins were forgiven
every soul promised eternal life.
I know it's hard to imagine
when the road is dark and narrow,
he watches all his children
while his eye is on the Sparrow.
Storms will come and go
but you'll never walk alone,
for written in the book of life
your name will always be known.
