We all have them.

 Pet Peeves

Just for shits and giggles
I thought I'd take the time,
to write down my pet peeves
and try to make them rhyme.
I have to admit at the top of my list
my all time favorite one,
is the empty roll of toilet paper
discovered the moment I'm done.
Those inconsiderate drivers
who haven't got a clue,
slow cars in the fast lane
directional signals never used.
An empty carton of orange juice
put back in the refrigerator,
old lady's perfume, and those who
fart in a crowded elevator!
Nasty tooth paste in the sink
how hard could it possibly be,
to rinse that crap away
there's some things I don't
need to see!
Grocery karts with a mind of their
own, yet you push them anyway,
a doctor's office waiting room,
watching the clock, cursing your day.
Just for shits and giggles
I've found my sweet release,
writing rhymes passing the time
remembering my pet peeves.

To be continued!

You've got me going with "pet peeves," Kathy... ...Lord knows I have many and I think they are justified. As you express, people ought to use common sense. Maybe some folks just don't have any to use. Thank you! Love and blessings,

Some of them I also agree with but the fart in the elevator is the best as I fart all the time in them when there alot of peple...then I can't stop laughing, guess thats why everyone knows who did the farting...;-) ed

You have many sympathizers with your pet peeves in this delightfully written poem. Methinks there are some kids who do not understand what simple instructions are…

I remember my mother always yelling, "Don't slam that screen door!" As I was already three steps into the yard and the door was wide open at the end of the spring ready to accelerate back to the door frame with a loud "bang."

Fantastic write! Yes, and I may add, inconsiderate folks who block the shopping lanes in a store and you must say, "please excuse me" over and over again! Then there is the extremely slow driver who does 15 in a 30 zone. You really want to say, "If you don't feel like driving the speed limit you should stay home!" Well I must write more in a poem. Thank you!

"An empty carton of orange juice
put back in the refrigerator," - LOL!!!! Sounds like what I can find in my fridge too!

At least these pet peeves keep your mind occupied. That, and sometimes your blood pressure probably goes through the roof. I relate completely about going to the darn doctor.
