Papa's Shot Gun
I can't talk I ain't got time
gotta go out and find that man of mine
he done run off and left me
with a house full of bills
and now I got a hunch
that he's headed for the hills!
Gonna go see my papa gonna get his
shot gun
there ain't no where that man's
gonna run,
gonna light me a match and
tie him to a tree
and that'll be last last he'll
ever see of me!
Then I searched high and I
searched low,
I went to every honky tonk
from Tennessee to Mexico.
When this day comes to an end
I'm gonna get up in the mornin
and do it again.
I'm gonna go see my papa
gonna get his shot gun
there ain't no where that man's
gonna run,
gonna light me a match and tie
him to a tree and that'll be the
last he'll ever see of me!
Then I found him in a tavern in
a town called Texarkana,
he was huggin and a kissin
on a lady called Miss Anna,
I grabbed him by the hair
and I drug him out the room,
through him in the car and
drove him to his doom!
Then I went to see my papa
and I grabbed his shot gun
I bound him by the ankles
so I knew he couldn't run
lit me a match and tied
him to a tree
and that was the last
he ever saw of me!
The moral of this story is
DON'T MESS WITH A SOUTHERN
WOMAN!
