Something Beautiful
I've never zip lined nor jumped
from a plane,
but I've walked the tight rope
of life just the same.
I'm a mother, a friend, a wife
and more,
my glass is half full
and my faith
opens doors.
Today I may struggle
tomorrow's not mine,
I'll never give up
I know in God's time.
The things I've worked hard for
that seem out of reach,
my guardian angels
will help me achieve.
Today is a gift
I'm thankful it's true
I count my blessings
in gray skies or blue.
Something beautiful
something good,
awaits every soul
that's misunderstood.
I guess it's simple
what I'm trying to say,
make the best of your life
and treasure today.
