He was always there for me. I just didn't know it.
He came from a far distance
To walk our dusty roads
He turned water into wine
The blind were given sight
The dead rose from the grave
He spoke and the world
Was filled with his wisdom
And a thousand suns burst
With his transcendent splendor
But they called him a devil
With a serpent's tongue
He whose heart was pure
Whose mind was clear
Enough to remove the dust
That blinded the eyes of men
The good shepherd
Came for the lost sheep
The downtrodden, the sinners
For the self righteous
In their arrogance had no need
Of him, and they crucified him
But on the third day
He rose, and the heavens
Were filled with his effulgence
And all beings, big and small
Felt his everlasting glory
