Dark Night

Dark night of the soul,

Pondering the wayward winds

Of life and death,

Caught in a landslide of dreams

I slept upon the ocean's waves

Feeling the ebb and flood

The vastness within -- reaching

Always reaching for lost illusions

And never quite knowing why

We come and go like soldiers

In a dark uncertain night,

Wanderers for a fleeting second

Blind inside this cacoon called life

From morn to dusk we are spoon fed

From a cauldren of lies -- destined

To lose ourselves in the dark night

Of the soul.

The cycle of feelings...sometimes the lows give a sweeter tang to the highs, and vice versa...every cycle brings some bits of introspective knowledge, to puzzle into the whole, to fit into our "self journeys".

Excellent, Ron. I don't know whether we're destined that way, but it often seems so. Then again, there are those moments of blue sky, clear air, fresh wind, and sunshine and shade...
