Why are we in such a rush to go some place we don't really want to go to?
Morning Traffic
Here I sit inside my car
The engine running but I’m not moving
I sit side by side with others just like me
I brief intermission of my frustration as we creep another foot
The radio is playing and some old DJ is joking with women
Yet my car still sits there idling blowing carbon into the sky
I look from side to side and see others in the situation
A knowing nod, a glancing look, brings some sort of fellowship of frustration.
We all sit inside our little shells
It takes so long.
It takes so long.
It takes so long.
