A true story from my childhood
Grandma in the kitchen Making Rhubarb pie 'Whats this' she said Referring to a fly 'This poor creatures legs are stuck On the sticky countertop' Grandma seemed to feel its pain And leaned close to it and said 'Poor little fly will you ever see god Do you want to see god little fly' Grandmas' voice rose up to a scream There was a loud thwack As that fly she did smack 'You wished to see god Now you'll see him' Edwin Dante Larson Copyright �2003 Edwin Dante Larson �

Obviously Grandmother didn't take no stuff from flies when it comes to her rhubard pies. This had the ring of a Aesop's Fable. And aren't the memories always special (fly swatting notwithstanding, of course!)
