Ahhhh Hope ya'all gots a sense of humour...Fee

American Cousins In Nova Scotia or

When the Eds Tasted Real Beer

Now those silly American cousins

who all bear the same name

Came up to Canada for a visit

And they’ve not been the same

Though they all spoke a little funny

We told them pull up a chair

You’re in Nova Scotia my friends

Always room for you here

We sat one Ed a little down wind

He smelled like bad cottage cheese

Offered them ice cold Keith’s beer

Served by a lass nice as you please

We played Poker on a Sunday

And I won me a fine hearse

Laughed as the moths all flew out

Of Georg’s Moldy change purse

Soon the guitars were brought out

Tuned up and in perfect key

Rose and I entertained them

Oh twas a fine Maritime soiree

With corned beef and cabbage

Moose meat on the stove stewed

Salt Cod and smoked herring

Canadian whiskey for the mood

Sadly all good things must come to an end

As my sainted mother would say,

The Ed’s visited the Water Street ladies

Then they all refused to pay

The police rounded them up in a wagon

The famed RCMP in their jackets of red

Drove them back to the border

All those guys each named Ed…

Rose and I waved as they drove off

Sad but knowing they’d surely return

Cause once you sample Nova Scotia

In your heart you always will yearn…

LOL! Fee, I want to visit you in your beloved Nova Scotia - don't drink, so Keith is safe. =] Diet soda okay by me. An excellent write, well done!

Your (new) cousin from Texas, Karla.

Just don't ask me to sing - wouldn't want to hurt your ears! Now ask Karen to sing 'Coal Miner's Daughter,' she'll knock your socks off!!

Rose's a lovely lass but you are a dirty badmouthed Queeny, although you show how smart you were puttin Jersey down wind.
Now, what you tlaking'bout that ice cold catpiss of a Keith that ain't no beer, that's product of animal cruelty.

Ed the Elder

PS. we no comin'back, paternity troubles we have enough, but you can enjoy all the buns we left in the oven ha! ha! ha! ha! ha!
