My second favorite night approaches...

Enter At Own Risk

By Fee

Goblins dance as the werewolves prance

While the ghosts are singing a song

The skeletons all play in a marching band

And the witches serve brew all night long

The kiddies all dress in their costumes

Trick or treating for that candy so sweet

While the black cat sits on a fence post

Howling at the full moon o’er the street

Green Frankenstein walks purple Barney

Fairy Princesses skip with little Bo Peep

Wee cowboys shoot imaginary bad guys

And a Mummy holds hands with a creep

And ghost stories are told by teenagers

Watching movies of red blood and gore

Eating popcorn to hide their cold shivers

Each time someone knocks at their door

Impassive eyes of the owl stare at you

Wondering “who, who, who” really dares

Challenge the black edge of this madness

In a graveyard that’s known to breed fears

Wow! You've created a monster of a Halloween poem! I love it. My favorite stanzas are numbers one and three. I'm gonna keep this poem and make it my favorite one to read to some "little" friends each year -- and I'll be sure to always tell 'em that a Mr. Felix Perry wrote it! Thanks.

Cute write, Fee, but I don't do Hallowe'en. Any holiday that takes precidence over Christmas (the true meaning of) does not deserve to be recognized in my book!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :)

Fee, it seem that Halloween is all year around in the house of Brothers Ed, although don't tell our Momma that or you gonna get a broom-handle up you know where!
