Well we are finally all moved it and managed to squeeze twenty years of household hoarding, from a workshop, two sheds, a rec room and a three bedroom house into a two bedroom apartment. Isn't moving fun...lol

Poem Artwork

Moving Day

The boxes are all mostly unpacked

The chaos now seems under control

The cable guy has come and gone

Seems like we’re finally on a roll

The power man kindly left us light

A long hot shower’s sounding great

Supper’s frozen pizza smells delicious

Considering the last time that we ate

Okay now where is the darn silverware

Didn’t I just see a china plate

Hell, just serve it up on a newspaper

I’m so hungry it will still taste great

I didn’t see the toothpaste or brushes

Who cares we’re not on our first dates

If you want your breath fresh and minty

Chew some of these stale “After Eights”

There’s a tea towel for your shower

And my shirt I can wear you said

Ah moving day is just so much fun

Now let’s go try and find our bed…

I don't like moving day, but I like unpacking and making a new place look homey. I bet you half of those boxes contain your poems. Fee, you are an AMAZING writer. I can read you all day....

Now you have to get rid of all the boxes. Heathen that I am it's frozen pizza every Wednesday night. I love it. Just a bad habit. Patrick

Oh my goodness. Been there a few times. Hope we don't do it again. The last time we moved I packed several suitcases with the things you mentioned so we could live out of them for a couple of days. Worked pretty well, and saved us having to move humpteen boxes just to find the toilet paper. lol. Congrats Fee. Hugs, J'nia

Conjured up so many moving day memories, Fee, not all of them unpleasant. You had me giggling...looking for things! Great Job!!!
Glad you're all moved in...bet you are too!

Anna

The only pain I felt when I moved before last was...all over! Then I got smarter, got me young, strong moving people to carry everything but me upstairs. The fun was taking everything from the boxes, I should have let them alone on a lovely pile in the middle of the room and find me a cozy hotel with Coors and Captain Morgan room service! :-) LOL

I love this real life punchy poem Beautiful Feeeeeeeeeeeeee!!
I could almost smell the pizza from your famishment of moving!!
Most of us can connect with this wonderful piece: letting us know what you're up, and reminding us where we've all been and will probably experience again!!
I'm sure you feel lighter!!
Love and Light, Suzie xoxox :-D

Funny thing about moving, it is sad and it hurts to say goodbye, yet it is refreshing at the same time to have another chance to begin anew. God bless and may you and your family find happiness and may new wonderful memories abound...

Be always safe,
Karen

:) Glad to hear that you are all moved in and making a new start of things-moving really sucks, so it is always good when it's over.
