Jimmy Johnson for President!

Well for those of you who do not follow NASCAR, the season is into their playoffs or "Chase". Jimmy Johnson who has won three consecutive titles, won again last week to put him in the lead of the points standings. If he wins this year he will make history in NASCAR for no one has ever done this, VOTE JIMMY FOR PRESIDENT!

Poem Artwork

Jimmy Johnson for Pres!

Now you’ve had everyone in that oval office

From General’s to a movie star

It’s time you gave the people what they want

A man who drives in old NASCAR

Now hear me if I may be so bold to suggest

The man behind the wheel of number 48

The fastest three time NASCAR champion

Mr. Jimmy Johnson leads the great

You seen him closing in on another victory

He’ll make history again this year

When he wins trophy and title number four

As the crowds will stand and cheer

Now Mark Martin could be his vice president

Jeff Gordon his foreign diplomat

Kyle Busch would make a fine war minister

Settle things at the Talladega flat

Ryan Newman could take charge of tourism

A race track for each and every town

Dale Earnhardt, hm, Dale Earnhardt

Is there such a thing as a presidential clown?

Tony Stewart I can see as head of security

With an armored fleet of black Camrays

Ryan Newman and that Kevin Harvick guy

Waiters at the inauguration carrying trays

Now I say perhaps you should think it over

Could he really do to your country worse?

Vote for Jimmy Johnson for President

His 48 car on the campaign trail of course…

See ya’all at Homestead…git er done!

Anthemic and passionate, Darlin! I can just feel your stout heart beating in time to the rhythms you create here as you s(w)ing your praises and press your allegiances... but, though I know nothing about NASCAR, think I'm allowed tonight to vote for Jensen Button instead! He's a lad from the town I was born and raised in and went to school with my niece, so double high-fives! :))

Ok, I don't know a thing about NASCAR so I'll take your word for it. GO Jimmy. Maybe he should run for senate first. It's a good stepping stone.

Hey buddy!!! you forgot to mention Joe Weatherly driving the one and only Pontiac that won the Championship, twice ('62 and '63), although he left us in '64 he was the champion driver Paul Newman would have loved to have.
