Her power no longer sleeps
under winter's bitter shroud
Bear wakes from cave slumber,
and rubs the veil from her eyes
She inhales earth's pungent breath
in short quick bursts
Her nostrils snort smoky white plumes
of white carbon
and she exhales the old ghost
New blood fills her veins
and she shakes her bones alive
Her roar reverberates down the mountain
The world begins again NOW!
