Nocturnal Treasures

Whispers flow in the darkness,
carried by the kiss of the breeze
Soft melodic melodies,
awaken our souls,
softly touch our senses

Enveloped by ebony night,
part of this nocturnal world
is filled with creatures singing.
Strange woodland voices echo
choruses in unison

Tall trees stand as silent sentinels,
while moonlight crowns their heads
It filters through glistening leaves,
casting shadowy fingers
onto cool earth

From the silent lake,
a silver shrouded mist
arises, slowly crawling,
expanding towards an
untraceable shoreline

Nocturnal treasures are gifts,
received and accepted by some,
enjoyed and coveted by others,
unnoticed by a few
They are the vintage presents
from mother earth

Your poem gives a wonderful image of "things" at night, and makes me think of busy nature under the silent stars. Good descriptions.
