LOL. Almost makes flogging sound fun. Whenever I hear the word flagellate, my mind thinks of those monks who for some reason thought it pleased God...
Yet the Marquis was a bit of a mixed up lad, to say the least. Remarkable grip of the english language, you have, to be sure.
