A young man's contemplation on the price of war. I wrote this in the Fall of 1982, my senior year of high school. It was published in the McCullough High School "Pegasus" Spring 1983.
For every drop of blood that flows,
Another life is saved;
For every bit of knowledge told,
Another mind is raised;
For every hopeful thought that's made,
Another dream is kindled;
For every bomb that comes our way,
Another world is dwindled.
For every Healer, Teacher, and Dreamer we meet:
Another Soldier is on the street...
