Hush Little Baby Don't You Cry

I wrote this when the 256th Brigade was deployed to Iraq--They are now back and all is well


 

           HUSH LITTLE BABY DON'T YOU CRY

You left with the 256th Brigade and
you gave me the red eye

Oh! Baby don't you cry
Your daddy's off and gone

We freed Afghanistan and
now we must free Iraq

Hush little baby--go to sleep
One day you will know the reason

Old men make war....
Young men fight war...

We must put away the war toys
and with guns we do not play

God gave little angels' wings
Let us fly with the birds so high

above the clouds to a place of
Harmony and Peace

Where Our God abides

As I say Marguerite...you have to fight fire with fire, to destroy evil in its tracks..
