forgetting it is Halloween! Too bad.

I love receiving the sweetest of all words
that mother-in-law sends me by telegram
that she can’t come for a two months visit
because my brother in law is the lucky one.

I love after landing from an Australia trip
to see a Customs fellow diving with his hand
searching for an attempt at smuggling
in 24-hours' worth of dirty diapers.

I love challenges that try my little brain
to tell all of you of my love and describe --
well, with all my weird sense of humor --
what I love, and why, ha! ha! ha!
