Before you read the poem below, please read first Ed Matlack's NO A WOODSY PERSON
Then, will you give a gun to a monkey?

Poem Artwork

Some learned people once said that,
to the monkey you don’t give a gun
or to your begrudging mother in law,
this my brother, is the most true fact.

Monkey got very angry in the forest
minding his own business one night
as he wander around Jersey’s jungle
heard a mean growl and then a bark
from the direction from a scared one
holding a wildly shaking flashlight
which for the sudden a awful smell
a soul was wearing brown seat pants.

There, in the Jersey Devils Jungle
suddenly was a very berserk man,
as he hollered in such much fear
throwing stones to a innocent one
that was meaning is own business
and bothering nobody in that dark,
well, if that’s the case, aggression
the monkey carried a gun, just that.

The little dog smelling gun’s oil
said in canine language, “Ohmegod!
better duck behind a big fat tree
before that crazy dude fire a shot,”
as the two leg dummy threw stones
to an armed and getting angrier now,
a mean monkey on the other side
aiming to get "I am" to be the "I was"

That’s when in a dark Jersey’ jungle
it was fireworks, like a fourth of July,
but sounding like World War Three
to the neighbors already in their sacks,
not envying the dummy in the forest
that didn’t knew of a monkey in arms
looking for a throwing stones dummy
to give a plus hole where sun not shine.

Some learned people once they said,
“a monkey with a gun isn’t a bargain
if you threw rocks to a gunslinger,
I assure you, you will not do it again”

This is PRICELESS, Edvark(d), you most certainly do have a great sense of humor & oh, don't listen to Pee-wee as he has a better chance of seeing God than getting me to live in a tent even on one overnight, though I would like to see our little brother's great northwoods someday...Ed & Rufuz (w00f)

No guns for Jersey! I just invited him up to the great northwood to conquer his fear. You're welcome to join us, brother. We're gonna camp out under the stars, listenin to the timber wolves in the moonlight, and the bears rummaging around in the dark. Ma says I gotta help him with this problem. (I'm gonna throw him in the lake, too!)
