Our Earth is warming. It is true . The Maple tree on my front lawn still has leaves hanging on it. It seems today that the winter is trying to loosen them for they should not still be holding on in February. They are shriveled and dead but they still cling to that tree. They are calling for a windy day. Maybe that clears them away. Global warming is not someone’s imagination. Please take it seriously.

Poem Artwork

The morning started with a bright blue sky lit by the rising sun.

Soon one can see the clouds up high, whisked across the horizon.

They looked as if painted by an artist who was fearful to touch the canvas.

There was a light line here and there, scattered but nowhere did they mass.

Then as morning grew toward noon; darkness moved overhead.

The sun which had ordained the morning sky was hidden by clouds instead.

The trees began a familiar dance as the air began to cause them to shiver and sway.

The Heavenly painter became more impassioned and painted the skies darker gray.

Now the temperature which was temperate has become cold with winters chill.

With sun, hidden behind the clouds the cold rules as it wills.

I watch the trees swaying in the cold and watch as they keep time with the air.

Be it hot or cold, they take no mind; they seem to have no care.

The day’s weather has changed as it does often on a winter morning.

The change comes when’re it wants and can do so without a warning.

However it is all a part of life and so we will accept rain, shine or snow.

Or simply watch the trees sway in whichever direction the wind will come to blow.

Come hot or cold; come rain or shine whatever God will send.

It is all a part of natures plan.  Let’s pray it does not end.

I agree "Let's pray it does not end." Your poem paints a beautiful picture of the sky.

God bless you. Kathy
