From the movie that started it all.

Please don't write me that you agree.
This is satire. Try substituting your favorite
religious mythical character for Bigfoot.

 Bigfoot

I believe in Bigfoot,
I heard the news today.
I believe in Bigfoot,
and, I am on my way.

When I first saw that movie,
I couldn't believe my eyes.
A creature as as big as Yeti,
'neath the California skies.

It was a miracle when I saw it,
for the Saquatching camera never lies.
There are things we cannot understand,
that exist and are twice our size.

So many people have seen him,
I know Bigfoot must be true .
There even was a movie about him,
he's just like me and you.

His footprints are everywhere,
in the deep, dark woods he hides.
Sasquatchy shares this earth with us,
he'll show us when he decides.

For he is much smarter than we are,
to evade us for so long.
He's probably from another planet,
to be so big and so strong.

The DNA evidence is in,
and samples, they abound.
That prove, without a doubt,
that Bigfoot has been found.

A noted scientist was converted,
I saw her confess witness on TV.
The documentary converted millions,
for all the scientific world to see.

So, I believe in Bigfoot,
I will carry the torch for he.
I'll search the forest the world over,
to find where he will be.

And if you still do not believe,
I really pity thee,
for he is great, and you are late,
to join the multitude, Bigfoot and me.

Hahaha...I remember a time Ron when my youngest son was in First grade and I got a call from his teacher. She said "Bigfoot" came to school, I said, "What"...your son wore tennis shoes 6 times bigger than his foot to school today and said they were his. He had borrowed big brothers tennis shoes and wore them to class. He was mesmerized by shoes! The older brother was in Highschool they are 10 years apart...hahaha..this brought back good memories Ron!

Thanks for the laugh you made me remember!

Ah yes, Bigfoot, Yeti, Sasquatch, Skunk-man all so romantic most want to believe. As Kate indicates there is the Loch Ness Monster and we have Chessie in the Chesapeake Bay, all still to be substantiated. That nasty little word keeps interjecting itself into the lore, proof. How marvelous if they really should exist. I wish you peace and love my friend. Jon Michael

All will be revealed, Ron.. no smoke without fire and all that... We have unaccountable mysteries that yet defy the wonders of the 21st century and prevail in the natural world, generation on generation, here in England's West Country: usually sorrounding Big Cats on the Moors. I guess our biggest equivalent to dear ol' Bigfoot would have to be the Loch Ness Monster... we just haven't quite worked her out yet, but new species are being discovered all the time, no?! Satire is just another way of looking at truth, methinks. :)) xx

I was very surprised that Biscardi's 2008 image received so much media attention, (before proven a hoax) since if they had indeed found what they claimed to be Sasquatch they would have had live film footage & too they would have taken many many more images (just like hunters do)

Besides the image representation in the freezer looks fake anyway, the freezer isn't turned on, the supposed 2 months they stored the body doesn't look "frozen" or cold...

When I lived up in Seattle years ago, with the rock band I was in, we discovered, (what they were trying to convince us was) the stinky suit they used in this hoax at a garage sale on the west side. The dillweeds wanted to pawn it off on us for a thousand dollars.
"Another hoax?" We asked.
"No no no, it's real, we swear." They crossed their hearts. hahaha ... true story!
Fun stuff here, Ron.

Mystery of any sort intrigues all...
there is an element of excitement to add
to the every day dull-drums some may experience
heightens their day.. lol

I for one enjoy following this sort of thing and
many others just to see if there is this so-called
proof... nice to roll around in my mind...

As you so ably point out, BigFoot is truly impressive. Not only does he hide well, he collects all of his own scat, secretes every scrap of food he eats and all the evidence that he hunts or harvests anything (what does he eat, anyway?)and makes his bed every morning so skillfully that we could never notice it. He makes no sounds, has no squalling children and no culture. I wish I could believe it, too. Very clever, Mr. Hull!

I, myself, saw old Bigfoot
It was now, several years ago
I was camping out in the Rockies
It truly was Bigfoot – that I know

And, I grew up with another old legend
They call him ‘The Jersey Devil’ back east
You can even ask our dear old sainted mother
“That Jersey Devil brother of yours, is a real beast!”

YES! I love the metaphor! There is so much we "believe in" that just doesn't make sense. Kinda like the search for Noah's ark. It is so ridiculous an idea! Someone is making a LOT of money on the Noah's ark deal!

Great job, Ron. Why not Big Foot? After all it costs an arm and a leg to have a sweet tooth. It’s a pain in the neck to pull someone's leg (not to mention pulling someone’s finger). Many people put a foot in their mouths everyday; few of us see eye to eye; head start is a worthy program; and did it ever cross anyone's mind to cross their heart? Yes, it’s thumbs up to hot lips and thumbs down to cold feet; and I’m all ears to getting that monkey off my back. So, let’s face the music and put our noses to the grindstone, our ears to the ground while we keep a nose for the news that knocks us on our asses!
