This is just for fun as a sequel to "Oasis"
The oasis, seems like it was just yesterday Your love so steadfast and true Now you've kicked me from the camel And said with me you were through So back on the barren sand I'm guilty of being tough and rude I was no diamond in the rough Just blatantly out and out rude I asked you to keep your promises Made under the moon's glow You simply looked me in the eye And with repugnance said, "no." So being too much trouble I've been dumped here high and dry No water or shade anywhere in sight So under the glaring sun our love, parched, died

Elizabeth, I'm glad I stopped by to read your poems. I admire writers who have the ability to express a world of feelings and atmosphere with just a few well-worded phrases. How nicely you have done that here. You build the tension and then release it, leaving the reader saddened, but wiser for having read to the finish.
