The instruction from my doctor of psychology

“A tape for relaxation I was to seek”

I headed to the mall and went on a wild spree

High, low, in front, and behind I did peek.

Now don’t give me zephyrs it’s nature sounds I seek

I looked over much, but like always I was in a rush

Finally at last there in the back I did peek

“Thunderstorm Terror” to make my nerves hush

Home, I plopped on the couch without a frown

And with a deep sigh I put my head down

And listened to the rumbling and roaring sounds

Of nature and rain in this tape I had found

As my mind slowly drifted

Through all the thunder I sifted

I felt the tension from my body ease

And I thanked my doctor of psychology

I have a CD with Indian music that relaxes me. The pan flute rises above the other instruments and eases tension. Great job on this poem, Liz!
Hugs:)

The Wholly Book of Genesis by Jay Dubya

The Wholly Book of Genesis is a humorous satire on the first book of the Old Testament where the Story of Creation, the building of Noah's Ark, Sodom and Gomorrah and the families of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob are thoroughly spoofed and broadsided.
