Surely, if prayer were strong as some say, Somewhere on ocean’s wide face — Katrina would have stayed, there to play, And Rita, adjacent, died in place.
How did I miss this? So good to read you again Leland! Great poem. Creator has His reasons for everything, one day we may know what it is, if He wants us too!;-)Hope all is well with you!

So you are still kicking.
We never know why nature does what she does. Except that it starts in african atlantic in a sea of 27 oc. And crosses over to the gulf, gaing momentum..
I didn't pray, I planned while others panicked and clogged the hiways. My last plan, southwest, would have got us out of harms way in less than 60 miles. Stayed home and safe.
Prayer will not stop the storm but let's pray the response will not be so disastrous as the last one
