Vultures regularly foretell from certain signs that men will die. This is one such sign, from which they learn and make ready: when opposing armies prepare for the lamentable event of the ecological war, the birds will follow in large flocks, signifying by this that many will fall in battle - to be the vultures' prey.
A note of interest: female vultures give birth without a male and no-one disputes it...hmmm?
Warming of the climate system is unequivocal, as is now evident from observations of increases in global average air and ocean temperatures, widespread melting of snow and ice, and rising global average sea levels.
Sea ice is projected to shrink. Hot extremes, heat waves, and heavy percipitations future tropical cyclones (typhoons and hurricanes) will become more intense.
We will lose this war if we don't act now!
Creation’s extinction, was birthed with abstruseness by superior splendid, wanting Something from nothing Existence extinguished, itself . . .
A beginning, an end A woman, a man Polar provocation from some loadstone, landed
We embodied the earth and faced her attractions Invented vegetation with her wet, flowing rivers, to that of a woman’s lips that kiss . . .
On the stubbled forests of his inceptions, man’s mane Her mountains, emerged new shapes, and his volcanoes, erupted in flames!
The ladies, were seasoned and the gentlemen, stormed! His roots un-embedded, remembered . . . She once blossomed from corms
Ignited in spheres of inflectional influence, sparks forced! The cold wind furled from his north, compressed in the Santa Anna winds, reminiscing . . . A woman’s warmth
Phenophases adazed! Climatic imbalances and such hot inveighed! . . . and killed the clouds
Leaving ecological footprints in His shroud It was Wow! Creation’s extinction. We screwed up!
Carmine vincible breasts! ...of the essence Man was courageous! Women, patiently dimmed. . . but, still and outrageous!
Harmonic importance was defunct and we were quenched too much! For the budbreak missed the flowering date and we died . . .
Mother earth couldn’t even cry . . . We shrank the sea ice. . . and were followers of the Kyoto Protocol, newsletters. And did nothing . . . From something, we’ll never have . . .
Circling vultures above our heads Could it be that our something’s dead? And they responded, "Those idiots!"

powerful, powerful write my friend! No doubt, this will stir up a few interesting comments! The sad thing is people will only see what they wish to see...and thanks to the mass of information pro and con, those who say we have nothing to worry about can always find bits of info to support their view.
In my on this plante, I have seen beathtaking rivers, become fouled with waste, because folks could not be bothered to walk a few feet to drop trash into a receptecle...I have seen fields and forests leveled to make way for housing developments that became cesspools of violence and crime.
It is not to much of a streach for me to believe that we as a race are doing unbelievable harm to this world.
We are already losing it, Big Time, since far too many people don't even seem to care, or refuse to believe it's even happening, especially our own government.
What caused the world warming that ended the Ice Age? and the Ice Age before last one? and the one before that?
Or, are the cyclical periods part of Mother Earth's self ealing?
Yes, we pollute, but...wasn't Pinatubo Vulcan the one spewing more CO2 in a day than one billion cars in a year? (we haven't got that many cars)
To save the world to rotten, we should stop overfishing, cutting down the rain forest, polluting the rivers, uncontrolled sewers spilling, and, but not less, the burning of coal.
Perhaps instead of babling so much the politicians should take REAL measures, like alternative power power plants, ban of all the pesticides that find their way to underdeveloped countries, availability of affordable or donated medicines.
And people, get rid of all those corrupt government that put the donated money for the alleviation of their countries in Swiss banks.
But that is just me.

Powerful imagery within the lines of this one my friend, I agree with Felix a bit eerie, but I also agree with Richard, there are some things that I think we are not meant to understand. I do think that we have abused God's precious earth...profound write that lingers on one's thoughts...well done!

Strong message that all should heed and heed quickly before it is too late. Lovely though slightly eerie poem that is alive with imagery and the passion of the authour.

What is the secret message in this Scriptural command? By jove ... I think it's where our focus is supposed to be when everything that's happening on this planet defies explanation and intellect!
There are some things we were not meant to understand; only see.
There are too many conflicting views on this issue for me to be persuaded one way or the other. I am certainly not taken in by Al Gore's non - empirical assertions based on spurious evidence. I suspect that his is more an ideological and cynically driven cause. His film, An Inconvenient Truth reflects this besides its bad science. I remember environmentalists in the 1970s warning that nations would vanish under the sea by the mid 1980s. From my reading of the various scientists e.g. meteorologists, geologists and phycicists etc, weather and earth behaviour patterns have always fluctuated. Indeed a recent UN sponsored research into global warning produced negligable evidence, quite the contrary, temperatures were recorded as falling. A recent Worldmag article not used by the mainstream media, reported that mars, jupiter and venus were also warming up. This is due to the sun's temp increasing. Are we to believe that our fridges and exhaust emmissions are causing these planets to heat up as well?
Call me a cynic, but the only vultures I see are the ideologists ready to pounce on anyone who disbelieves - this makes me a heretic I guess. Modern day witchhunt eh?
