I tried to use my phone
It wouldn't let me call out
I sent the check last week
Is that what this is all about
I frantically pushed the buttons
I must be able to use this
I got the annoying nobody
And definitely couldn't dismiss
My feelings of frus-ter-a-tion
If I was a snake I would hiss
I can't call hubby or kids
Parents, brother, or either sis
I prayed to the god of the airwaves
And star 6-1-1 sent some bliss
A goddess at the other end
Answered my pathetic plea
She hooked us up again
Now we can call, but not for free
She also enlightened me about
Some charges on phone number three
It seems our own teenager
Had been downloading with glee
He offered to go without
For a month but I said no
Because I want to be able to
Always know where he will go
I learned from this situation
That sending the check so late
Creates a bit of explanation
And a whole lot of time to wait
Next month's bill should show
We are counting minutes
And following our plan
Hopefully I'll send the check on time
I'm not perfect, I'm not a man
I'd disconnect the teenager's hands from the phone by removing said phone!!!!!! Man O Man, that's sad. And then, late payment on top of it...GRRRRRRRRR feel your frustration, but laughing at your smiles throughout! Well done, Lynn.
