I love to take bike rides
I spent years on a bike
But momma has not gone
For a while and unlike
Other things that they do say
"Once you learn...
Blah blah blah."
I got on that bike
And my bottom was raw
The seat it was wiggly
And low and hard, hard
I felt as if I was
A big tub of lard
Sweating and puffing
And grimacing, too
Son kept on asking me
"Mom, how are you?"
But fake smile; I acted
As if I was fine
The ride couldn't be over
Fast enough for my poor spine
Now, maybe a bolt tightened
And a soft padded seat
Will get me back on
That bike.....no defeat...
I'm a bike riding momma
And thanks to my son
I had a really good time
In fact, IT WAS FUN!

Those bike seats are waaaaaaaaay too small. Cruel and unusual torture. I've threatened to put a saddle on mine. [smiles] Cute poem. I felt your pain. hahaha
Hahaha, oh, my, I feel your pain, Lynn! Occasionally when my girls leave their bikes in the front, I'll ride them to the back, weaving and bobbling but, by god, you do not ever forget! Except for those seats, what happened to the banana seats and the butterfly handlebars? ;) Fun write! :)
