God’s Canvas
Looking through my window
Seeing green trees of every shade
The sky is dark blue and overcast
Another canvas that God has made.
The smell of rain clings to the air
The clouds bunch up like sponges in the sky
Waiting for just the right moment
To pour down buckets of rain from up high.
The spaces between the tree limbs
Where the sun usually shines so bright
Is now filled with a dark canvas of blue
Blocking off golden beams of sunlight.
All nature outside is quietly still
No wind or cool breezes stir
Just a sort of tranquil quietness
Filling up the unmoving air.

As I always say, God paints pretty skies. It's mostly cloudy out there, with scattered showers/thundershowers - the clouds are beautiful. His creations, lovingly displayed in verse - well done!
