The scary skies of June
Can open doorway of doom
Spread horrific hurricain activity
Over the lives of helpless humanity

We have no powers to prevent
The storms natural intent
Which some say is earths correction
But we see only deadly destruction

Katrina a year later still a current event
So many lives and losses  to lament
Damage so widespread litters the landscape
Human frustration at natures riotous rape

We tell the people to be glad they're alive
But there are doubts in those who survived
When they hear the current seasons predictions
Sounds like russian roulette is natures addiction

There are seemingly far fetched considerations
Is it possible that humanities energies figure in
If we use our positive vibrational mind emissions
Could we at least lesson the destructive conditions
~~

There are some who believe the message in my
final verse is possible...

Let's pray and prepare, the storm season is upon us!

Right you are. Let's hope and pray that it will be much better, sparing many more lives than last year.

Hopefully we learnd a few things from Katrina but the poor and homeless still face the raw terror of hurricane season. What choices do they have if the local, state and national aid fails like t did in New Orleans, Alabama and Mississippi? The scars are still visible as we approach another season of nature's wrath.

Prayer is the answer which will be answered in God's time not ours.

Dottie and I have relatives who at this date are in Tennessee and Texas and cannot go home. There is not home to go to, nor are there services for them if they DID go home. Pitiable. The season starts day after tomorrow.

It's an interesting thought that humanity's upheavel is related to distasters. God may be showing us his wrath. "We tell the people to be glad they're alive" What a perfect line. We haven't been through what they have. When life has no quality, maybe victims would rather not have lived. Excellent poem, Eileen and wonderful reminder to pray specifically. xxxxoooo Janet

"Nature's riotous rape"

YIKES!

That is a powerful three words!

Dear one, this poem is filled with clever thoughts.

"Sounds like Russian roulette is natures addiction" EXCELLENT!

"Positive vibrational mind emissions" Even more bloody EXCELLENT!

I also see something spiritual in the picture Eileen: a storm of judgement is coming to a world shrouded in fog.

Beautiful image!

We don't usually have too many types of natural disasters here, only fires, dust storms, occasional flooding, thunderstorms, hail storms and high winds. Looking at that list I guess it is substantial though most are mild and usually don't pose a threat to much. Those who live down in the gulf and even along the eastern seaboard are the ones who need to make sure that they are prepared because as they so soon found out, you can never depend on anyone else for your own safety, health and welfare. Also those in tornado alley need to take heedas well. Mother nature holds all the cards and we are left to play the hand she has dealt us. Smart words that should be heeded by all.
Take care,
Sherry

Precious Eileen, last night I already asked the Lord to guard our winds and waters.. Let us hope so. You know sometimes He allows things for us to bring revival. A loving
Father knows what is best, for His ways are higher.Let's keep praying no real structural
damage will happen..

Love You lots,
Dove
