We all know a rose is just a rose
but I propose the one above is an
outstanding rose, just ask my nose
for not only its beauty but its scent
is heaven sent,and no one can prevent
me from writing a poem or maybe a tome about a bloom that would grace any room just one more beauty we share on earth how often do we ponder what it's worth?
feast your eyes
upon a rose
makes your head
fill with prose
let the scent
arouse your desire
while the color
ignites your fire
let the velvet petals
give pleasure
as you stroke them
like a treasure
though they only
last a little while
upon your face
you'll wear a smile
Roses...my favorite flower...I love how different each blossom is and how many varieties and colors there are. Each one has its own distinct smell as well...
We are of earth, an integral part. Sucklings on the breast of Mother Earth each and every one, in this the grand scheme of God's work, his art. Everything around us in the environ elite, is prime material for a poetic foray. Another magnificent piece you have penned E T. Thanks for sharing.

Yep! Roses are all alike, except some are more that than others . . . If they were all alike why do they have flower shows by specimen . . . Gotta love it . . .
