“Of all flowers, methinks a rose is best.”
William Shakespeare
Roses bloom
In scarlet splendor,
A poetic feast
For the eyes,
Their heady perfume
A delight to the senses;
There are other beauties
In Ron's garden,
But none so beautiful,
So magnificent,
Nor so bountiful,
And none so beloved
As these.
Indeed, there is something special about roses, especially a garden full of them. We had rose bushes along the side of the house when I was growing up. How I remember them. Lovely.

It's hard to grow roses with our soil and the weather. But some varieties seem to flourish here in spite of it.
It's not been my garden for very long time. She says one variety looks better but has no smell. The other one has velvety petals and smells beautiful.
