IN COLLABORATION WITH ANDY HARDING Beauty frozen in time Soul ripped out from its body Rudely removed from existence By humans ~ For sport Jerked from a woodland frolic Laying motionless in the snow Memories of Bambi Play like a video in the head A real life snuff movie Not to be shown to children The white blanket doused in red Acrid smoke hangs in the air Gentle creature lays ~ twitching Eyes wide ... While Jovial humans back-slap the tracker Congratulatory in their game How ironic ~ How moronic Man sits in judgement of each other Yet revels in their atrocities When its hunting season A gun on a city street Public outrage - Long stretch Yet shooting a defenceless animal Makes you a 'real man' Mixed messages ~ Confused morality Contradictory behaviours Could this be the original oxymoron? Its a 'boys thing' That makes it OK Coffee shop mornings Wood-smoked lunches Evening beers in the bar The boys are back in town Whooping it up Displaying their trophies Telling their tales Just having a good time Rejoicing in their perversity Celebrating their double-standards 'Til Season ends ... When once more They return to reality Hypocritically procrastinating Putting the world to rights With the blood of innocents Still fresh on their hands Whilst the forest grows silent A mournful quiet settles in Mother Natures icy tears fall Upon the crimson splattered floor Uneasy peace all around In the knowledge Man will again return Once more to plunder Another of our God-given creatures ... This is why I oppose hunting. I can't bear the thought of shooting such a beautiful animal like the deer! Besides, I HATE violence of any kind, and this is about the worst kind of violence against a living creature as any! They don't have a chance! (((HUGS))) and much love, your huntin' hatin' friend in Texas, Karen Lynn. :( Besides, guns scare the hell outta' me!

Thats why I am Vegan, not only does it preserve these magnificent animals, it keeps our bodies cleaner and better preserved. There is much to be gained by respecting nature and God's Creatures.
