when Love was born long, long ago
there was no room for him at the inn
born in a stable where the animals
gathered ’round to worship him
they gave up their manger for his bed
listened quietly to Mary’s lullaby
even the beasts seem to understand
he was God’s love sent from on high
angels sang to poor shepherds that night
the desert winds carried their song
they were told to go and find The King
who was prophesied for so long
his star rose high in the cloudless sky
and soon guided the Magi there
in her heart Mary carried these things
and perhaps she prayed this prayer
Lord God, I know he is your only son
though others may judge and doubt
The Lamb Of God has been born this night
to teach a dark world what love is about
Amen, Belle. I know of no other messianic being who supplies every spiritual need through his own personal sacrifice. I, too, have no question or doubt as to the source of what is, without it, 'formless and void'.
