I am okay...this just came to me, and so, I write. :-) Happy Halloween!

Poem Artwork

They found her body today
on the living room floor
of her apartment,
curled into a fetal position.
Authorities don't know
the exact cause of death,
but when the body was
discovered, they announced
that the victim's brain was...
gone.

Erased.
A vacuum where poems once dwelt,
dreaming sweet dreams until they found
permanence on the Poet's page.
A void
where words were once stored
in neat arrangements by a bi-polar Muse
hell bent on perfection (that never came to be).
Perhaps
she was jealous?  The rages of a slightly insane
poet wanna-be convinced her host
that she deserved to be read, to be published,
and the
Poet ate all of the praise like ambrosia.
Filled with airy dreams of success,
the Poet couldn't stop the heartstopping fall.

They found her body today
on the living room floor
of her apartment,
curled into a fetal position.
Authorities don't know
the exact cause of death,
but warn the public that the
Muse has escaped and will
try to impersonate the Poet.
Consider it armed and dangerous.

(((Karla)))

Once again you have graced us with your prolific muse! WOW! This is specatacular; may your muse never die! That would be a tragedy indeed!

Will alert everyone I know to be on the lookout for that runaway muse, Karla. A most intriguing write.

And I agree with Thomas about Deborah's comment.

Karla, an extremely important and powerful write! Your muse and poetry are taking you to new and greater heights, my friend! However, I totally disagree with Deborah Russell, for without acknowledging someone’s hard work, with the appropriate and wonderful praises they deserve and earned, then why bother saying anything at all! Outstanding well-penned composition! Thanks for sharing it. Take good care and be well.

WOW, Karla! This is EXCELLENT... can you send her to me, please?! I just love the unique originality of this highly creative piece - which speaks a solemn truth beneath the surface. Jekyll and Hyde in each one of us who live with a creative neurosis, I guess. The visual speaks volumes, too. Very well done! PS You know I write this posthumously, don't you?!! "Happy Halloween"! Clever girl! LOL Kate xx

LOL, Karla...This is funny stuff, except for the death part, of course. I will keep my eye open for that escaped muse, mine has been playing tricks on me all day, today; perhaps a muse transplant would be a good idea.
Take care,
Sherry
