Dear Mama,

I wanted to be yours.
I wanted you for my Mama.
I had you all picked out,
But you changed things.

I wanted to be yours.
All sugar and spice
And everything nice,
But you changed things.

I wanted to be yours.
Your pride and joy.
I had all sorts of plans for us,
But you changed things.

I wanted to be yours.
I wanted to play dress up
And have baby dolls of my own,
But you changed things.

I was yours.
I'd memorized your voice.
The beat of your heart...
But you changed things.

I would have liked to love you,
But you changed things.

(((Karla)))

Heartbreaking picture, heartwrenching verses! Powerful, stark, hard-hitting dose of reality that smacks one between the eyes; this poem should be required reading for those contemplating abortion! Just that picture alone could change minds! BRAVA on a powerful and fine write; may you continue to educate and enlighten!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your twin, Karen Lynn. :( >tears <
