A pen! A pen! My kingdom for a pen! Got the Poet, but he's unprepared, I can't read his poems, for they're written on air, His Muse is rolling her eyes in shame, 'You're going to get us killed! I won't take the blame!!'... A pen! A pen! My kingdom for a pen!
A Muse! A Muse! My kingdom for a Muse! The last one quit, walked out on the job, After she bonked the Poet's head with a door knob, He's sitting there, staring into space, As far as Poets go, this Poet's a disgrace... Forget the Muse, OFF WITH HIS HEAD!
A Poet! A Poet! My kingdom for a Poet! Sorry about that...that was a bit grim, I did everything but write the poems for him, I gave him the pen and a new Muse, Hey! This isn't hard, I could write them, break the news! A Poet! A Poet! The Kingdom has a new Poet!
