there is a site where poets
flock together like birds
word birds, if you were
pecking out poems
and droppings of inspiration
on poems they read

leaving reviews
for me and you

i came here four years ago
and have met the best 
the world has to offer
through golden verse
people of all cultures and colors
gather as family

with common goal
peace for our soul

when we find it, we'll let it
flow in rings of love
from the heart to the rest
of mankind, bridging the gaps
of intolerance
stopping the cycle in its tracks

a hopeful dream
is it extreme

i would like to think not
maybe it's stupid, maybe it's
too late, but i've
seen a lot of shining moments
and borders dissolved
through poetry

from words you've penned
on author's den

and i'd like to believe i
am part of the
solution, because peace
begins with me
in my little corner of the web
all are welcome

to set a spell
here, where i dwell

this is my home; the door
is always open
i've got tea or coffee, or cola if you want
and the weather's nice
even when i'm off chasing
the latest storm
