thank you to the men and women in uniform
for preserving our freedoms in a mighty storm

each one is important in serving the mission
from grunt to brass, it doesn't matter position

they all give their best, defending the land we love
uniformed angels, sent by the good Lord above

thanks to our veterans, we honor you today
especially those not with us--what a price to pay

On 9-1-1, we thought freedom and pride was through
Everywhere you look, it is the red, white and blue

I'd rather live here, in the United States, than anywhere else in the world, because we are free. We are free because our veterans served and fought and died to preserve those that freedom.
