Danged heat wave. :)

The weather is fine; I
wish I were here,
instead of broiling brains
on top of the stove.
The weather is fine; I
wish I were here,
instead of melting like
the ice cube I am.
The weather is fine; I
wish I were here,
instead of complaining
about it...again.

Hope the heat wave will diminish soon for you. I hate it as well, especially when it's hot and humid, which is very unbearable.

Wonderful poem to describe this.

Terse and punchy, Karla! Love it! Broiling, melting, complaining, all aspects of human reaction, with broiling and melting, almost opposites in subject content, composing complaining about a situation uncontrollable.

That's why they call it the dog days of summer...because by the time we get to the end of it all, we're cranky, scratching, sweaty, and smell like unbathed dogs! An overstatement to be sure, but you know what I mean...This has been one heck of a long heat wave. SOON...I keep reminding myself that the temps have to be changing SOON! hang in there Karla! Cute write! Michelle

I love the little heat I can get... but there is a limit, I know... and I keel over beyond a certain point. A melting write, Karla and the most constructive, productive bout of complainin I ever read. Wish you were HERE... it's bloody freezing today, comparatively. Go bask in the sun of the frig... LOL Kate xx

Just the title made me laugh.
When we were in Texas, the yanks used to bet which englishman would
make it from the car park to the air con crew room in the best condition.. My hotel rooms were on 67 all the time, the maids complained they froze in my room. lol
Yup I know what you're about. Hope you get back there..lol

It does get tedious after awhile - especially when it starts affecting ones health, and frame of mind. Karla you and Karen hang tough.

It's just a matter of time and it will probably start snowing there. Who knows anymore!

Karla,
My heart goes out to you, esp. because the intense heat and humidity is so hard on fm! My sister-in-law in CA suffers from it, too ...it's been a very tough season for you guys.

But praise God, you are so funny, too! I love the sarcasm in this one!

Praying for a better day....LOVE&HUGS, Rhonda
